I have a set of the 1983 edition of the World Book encyclopedia. It is a set of 22 volumes and 1 set of the World Book Dictionary (2 volumes). I'm trying to find out their value. They are in great condition.

People get their information instantaneously online. The only time there is a demand is if the encyclopedia is over 100 years old. That is not the case with you.
Some editions of all brands of encyclopedias can be of value but it is usually only one or two editions/years and most of the other sets may be difficult to sell even for $25-$50.
You can research eBay, Amazon, Abe's Books for listings but it would be difficult to find an exact set that matches yours.
Asking prices usually have almost no relation to true value as these are just prices the sellers would really like to get. Only sold prices indicate what someone is willing to pay and can be considered 'true value'.
The 1983 edition has no outstanding features and only updates so this places it in a field that is not considered 'valuable'.
I have been unable to find a set (22 volumes) that has been sold in the past 6-12 months so current value seems to be very low.
Here is a set (different binding?) that is presently listed on eBay and has been listed for a very long time but you can place a watch on this set to see if it sells. Condition and type of binding will also influence the value.

You can always list your set on Craigslist, USA4Sale, OfferUp, LetGo with pick up only and start your price high and lower it if no one shows an interest.
Here is an article with some information about value of sets like this.
