The book is not in too bad of condition considering the age of the book. I would contact an antique bookseller and speak with them. Normally any book that is over 100 years old is sought by collectors. Considering this book is much older than that I would get an expert opinion on the price and how much the book is worth. Selling it on eBay is not the best way to sell a book like this.
This site sells and auctions off books, wwwworthpoint.com/
Webster web site does not show an 1858 edition/printing so I'm not sure about this edition.
If this book was in my possession I would send photos (several more than you have here) to Bethany College, Virginia and ask if they can give you any information on this dictionary.
book values hold up about as well as collector's dolls but the really old books do have value for collectors. Especially one as rare and old as this.
the problem with trying to find the value of something like this is that the demand is fundamental to knowing what the monetary worth fo something is, and the market for very old books is always highly specialized
definitely contact an old book seller or go on old book seller forums to inquire www.bookclubforum.co.uk/
