I found this beautiful book in a thrift shop and I couldn't bear to leave it sitting on the shelf. I would love to more about the history and value of this dictionary, but I'm having a hard time finding information on this specific publication on line. Just of note, but the inscription in the front says 'Bought in St. Louis MO, 1912' with names.

This is an antique and worth something. Take it to several dealers for appraisals
There are so many variations of dictionaries out there that it can be confusing and challenging to find an exact match.
I am not seeing any exact matches sold on eBay at the moment...which is my go to for giving today's market value.
Some of the old dictionaries have held value, but most have not. If you have a reputable antique dealer who deals in old books, he/she can give you today's value in your area.
You can regularity check back to eBay's sold section to see if any have sold.
Amazon, Abes, and other other big book vendors only tell you asking prices...so you can try to watch books there and if they disappear, they may have been sold (or the removed....that is the challenge with those sites...you always know the asking price, but never if people are actually buying).
With old books condition is everything so a dealer can also tell you what "official" condition yours is in so you would know how to value it if you are going to sell it. What you and I would think is good or nice, a dealer may look at and tell you poor or fair.
Post back what you learn...meanwhile I will keep checking eBay to see if one like yours actually sells!! Thanks for sharing! I am partial to old books so I can see why you liked this one!
