I'm wondering if my desk is worth anything. It is a 1970s old Barclay's Bank 5 drawer desk in brilliant condition with keys.

it would really depend on the buyer. If I were you, I would check ebay regularly for the next few months to see what they are selling for.

These desks can be valuable but it depends on several variables including the condition.
- You should look inside/under the drawers and on the back of the desk to see if there are any markings or names as that would be a big advantage.
- Probably the biggest factor will be the location as it would probably cost $700 to a thousand dollars to ship almost anywhere.
- If you are in or close to a large city, your desk may be worth several thousand dollars.
- You would really need to check your local places to see what they are selling for in your area. Check places like Craigslist, antique shops, local ads and Google vintage 5 drawer desk with your zip code.
- If Barclay's bank is local there may be some advantage to that.
- You can see there are some listings on eBay but they do not mean very much as there have not been any sold in quite a few months. Also, you will notice on most listings it will state "pick up only" which means you would have to live close by and be able to pick up the desk.

- You might want to try for a free appraisal but then again, the value may not be the same in your area.
