I have this desk and dresser and was wondering what the value may be? I have all the hardware for the desk, but took it off to try and clean. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I'm not sure but I think it's possible this is original but the desk top looks a lot whiter than the rest of the piece.
Bassett made over 100 series of furniture while they were in their prime but seem to have fallen into selling most 'foreign' made furniture now. Well, they may put some together in the US but materials come from foreign lands.
Their original series are all different in several respects:
Styled for the period of time produced.
Different woods (some series were made in 2 different woods).
Different finish.
Different drawer pulls/handles.
Different style legs/feet.
Different style - curves, flat, intricate, plain, country, etc.
Different styles of drawer/doors fronts: flat, curved, grooved, etc.
This set resembles the Virginia Colony Collection as the legs are very close and that may mean it was produced around the same time. This series is natural wood finish but the drawer fronts are entirely different from your pieces.
Here is a desk in the Virginia Colony series -close but drawer fronts are not the same. This particular desk is listed for sale on at least 8 different sites.

I found a chest of drawers the looks almost the same as yours but no information noted - just a picture.

If you will post your pictures on this site, it's possible someone will be able to help. You'll have to join the group (Reddit) but they are really helpful. There are also some Facebook groups who do the same sort of thing. They will not help you with value but may help with the age and series.

The only thing that is bothering me right now is the top of your desk. The colors so different from the rest of the desk and it seems like this is not even the same paint that was used originally on the desk. It almost looks like it was painted again to cover up marks on the top of the desk. If this did happen this can lower the price of the desk and it won't be worth as much as if it was original paint on the desk. The dresser does not have the same issue and the paint on the dresser looks original. Keep in mind that the price you get for these two items will all depend on where you live or where you try to sell them.
Hey there. We inherited a table that appears to be pretty old. It is Bassett....we are going to get it refinished and a lean fixed that the table has...but I was wondering if anyone could help us date it.
Can you tell if this was painted or is the original color?
This looks like the Virginia Colony Collection pieces which were wood color and still hold their value.
If they were painted, that may decrease the value.
Please let me know and I may be able to offer you more info.
Thanks!
This may be original paint. There are a few pieces on line on eBay priced $200 and up. These are very lovely pieces and should fair well. Here is a link to Bassett furniture pieces on consignment , just to give you a look at what others are asking for there pieces. - www.chairish.com/
