I have a Betty Jane Carter musical collector doll designed by Betty Ball for Goebel United States. It is a limited edition 133 of 1000 C10518/912872, still in the box and in really good shape.

Most dolls that are mass produced won't bring a high resale value. People normally end up almost giving them away. You might be lucky to receive $15 to $25 for your doll,

This is a mass-produced doll. There were 1000 made, and yours is #133. It is not worth much, at most $25.

These are nice dolls but sadly the resale value is much less than the original price (from almost any year or style of doll).
- Many people seem to think because the "Goebel" name is attached this would make it valuable but that is not always the case.
- You do not give the name or size of your doll so we can only research Betty Carter Musical dolls in general.
- That is still okay as most of these dolls will have approximately the same resale value.
- Occasionally someone will be looking for a particular doll (as a collector of that "style" doll or for a personal reason) and will be willing to pay a higher price.
- There are presently approximately 200 Betty Jane Carter musical dolls listed on eBay (said to be the largest doll site in the world). The ASKING prices run from $10 to $200 and condition "still in the box" is true for a large majority as they were generally purchased thinking they would be valuable one day.
- Asking prices are not a good judge of value as we have no way to know how long these dolls have been listed for sale (some sellers list their dolls over and over (for months to years) or if the doll will ever sell.

- Here is a link to dolls actually sold on eBay in the past few months and these prices are more realistic of value. Sold prices range from $3 to $75 with most being below $40.
- You can search for your particular doll on Google, Etsy, eBay, Ruby Lane, Amazon but do not get carried away with the asking prices as dolls (in general) are very slow sellers and it is estimated that only about 10% of dolls listed actually sell for the first "asking" price (but, you could be in that 10%).
- ThriftyFun receives a lot of this type of question so you might wish to read answers from past postings.
