Value of a 'Clementine Needs A Cuddle' Ashton Drake Monkey Doll?

What is the value of an Ashton Drake "Clementine Needs A Cuddle" monkey doll? I have had it for about 2 to 3 years.

Do you have the box and paperwork? Is she the 14 inch version? For some reason I have in my head there was a bigger and a smaller one, but I could be mixing up my monkeys.

If she is the 14 inch one, complete with paperwork, she has been consistently selling (SOLD prices, not asking) in the $100 range (as low as 80 as high as 100).

If you do not have the paperwork or she was played with or at all used, the value drops to SOLD prices (again not asking) of $50.

If she has any smells or damage, she is NOT selling at any price on line. You may get a few bucks for her at a yard sale or flea market. Sadly this is something many people don't factor in when trying to resell items...if she came from a smokers home or a home where there were cats (or dogs, but mostly cats) and the doll has any odor sticking to it or the box, it makes them almost impossible to sell in any venue. This has become an issue in the resell world and many collectors are getting angry when people try to sell their pieces without disclosing odors in the ad.

You are fortunate! She has held her value in the resale market, which is pretty amazing since most AD pieces have very little resale value in today's market.

If you are going to sell her and are not an experienced seller, I would opt for an in person sale, like a consignment store or take her to a vintage store. You will not get the same value as you would selling her on eBay, but you should get a nice amount for her. Why I say this is selling very fragile pieces on line is a challenge for inexperienced sellers. The cost to ship is very high and it must be double boxed and wrapped to prevent breakage.

If you are an experienced reseller on eBay or Etsy, that is where you will get the best amount for her. Because her values (SOLD PRICES) are consistent, if she was mine, I would set it up as a Good until cancelled auction at the high end...maybe $115 and take best offer.

If this is your doll here - www.ebay.com/.../663543229 people are selling or should I say asking around $125 for th item. This is not the true value of the item, just what they are asking for it. When the items sells you can find out then how much it is actually worth.
