How much would this 1920s Coldwell Excelsior new and improved putting green lawn mower be worth?

I did not see this exact model, but similar models on eBay are in the $200 range.
It is important when valuing items to look for two things--1 that you are doing an apples to apples match of your exact item in the exact condition and 2. look only at what people are actually paying for them...not what they are asking...especially when using eBay as a guide. Number one is critical as sometimes there are two things that are similar and one is of very high value and one with a minor difference is worthless...it just happens that way sometimes!
When looking at the comparables you also need to be very honest in the condition of yours. For example even a little rust can make it something go from good to fair or fair to poor. Also, for the record (and this is a pet peeve of mine) pristine is only to be used for things never removed from the box or touched by human hands. I see people using this all the time in the doll world...and when you look at it...it looks like it was rode hard and hung out to dry :(
Why you need to look at sold is easy...other people tend to think their items are very valuable and ask the world for them, but if someone won't pay it, the item essentially becomes valueless.
I would watch eBay and google the mower periodically and see what they are actually selling for (there is a sold button for eBay on the left of the screen).
Right now there are no mowers of this brand (any make or model) for sale or sold--that I can find...but if it was my item, I would check back weekly. That could change in a minute as the market changes that fast in today's world!
Interestingly there are ton of ads for the old mowers for sale on eBay...which you may want to look at to see if you can match yours and get more information on it...like maybe it has a special name or feature. It is neat to see how much things cost back then too!
This site is very helpful for learning about mowers. Maybe someone there could give you some insight in to the value: www.oldlawnmowerclub.co.uk/
For the record, selling mowers on eBay is a huge challenge as they are heavy and a bear to ship. If you are valuing to sell, you may want to consider a local option...like Facebook Market Place, Craigslist or selling it through or to an antique shop or even a pawn shop. One of our local pawns specializes in old garden equipment...they have a cool display out front...neat stuff!!
Hope this gets you started in valuing!
There is really no way to determine value of your mower as any similar mower is just that - similar and is just the same as comparing apples and oranges.
If you are interested in history you can check this out. Most of the "news" about this mower is towards the bottom of the article.
Give it to the hall and duck trust UK don't let it rot into oblivion value what anyone has to offer.
