I got this doll from my great grandma. I can't find any information on Karen. Is she rare? Any info would be great. She is still in the original box with the Kmart tag still on the bottom.

She is quite lovely! How old is your great grandmother? I can't imagine that this doll is more than 40 years old. She is most likely from somewhere between the late 1970s and early 1990s.
K-Mart got on the doll bandwagon when the larger gift stores started selling high end dolls. K-Mart made them more affordable for people like me who worked in the high end stores at low end pay.
They (K-Mart and the high name makers) literally made millions and millions of dolls and sadly only a very few have value in today's market.
Karen is a common name and they may have made several versions of her, so finding this exact one, today, as an active or sold auction may be a challenge.
Only if you find an EXACT match to yours that sold, would you know the EXACT market value today.
Generally I can tell you that even though some sellers are asking big bucks since K-Mart is going away, buyers are not paying big bucks for the dolls so most of the K-Mart dolls are sitting unsold on ebay from as low as $1.00 up to $100.
When they do sell, it is usually in the $5-10 range.
The best karma for dolls today is to give them to a child who will love them!! That is what dolls were meant for...not to be sitting on a shelf!
I am sorry I don't have better news for you. I hope you can find a child to love her!
The K-Mart is the giveaway that this doll is mass-produced. Even if never taken out of the box, you would be lucky to get $25 for it.
