I was given this desk and told it may be valuable. I am considering selling it, but have no idea how to price it. Thank you for any insight into its value.

Thanks for sharing! So everything about this piece is very puzzling to me. The Conant mark looks legit, but the paperwork you show does not match anything I can find in any of my resources.
The other thing that is puzzling is the legs on the desk are not a common style for Conant. They are more of a block leg/quasi mission style--which I know Conant did use in some end tables, but I have not seen this style used in a desk or a writing table--which I lean more toward this being a writing table because of the little back lip.
I am not saying this is a knock off piece--it may just be a piece made for an office or just something I have never seen. I am a huge Contant fan and have studied a lot of the mid century modern (MCM) style pieces so this may just be something that has not crossed my path.
It confuses me because I can't find anything similar in any of my old catalogs or advertisements from the brand. Again if it was for an office it may not have been advertised.
I would recommend strongly having a furniture dealer who specializes in higher end pieces look at this and first figure out exactly what you have here.
Once you figure out what you have, if it is a desk or a writing table and if it is a consumer or office piece, and verify it is an authentic Contant, it will be easier to help figure out a value for you. It also is important to know where you are located, since any furniture value is highly dependent on location.
Post back what you learn! I am so curious and love a good furniture mystery!! Thanks for sharing!!
Beautiful desk or writing table.
I'm not sure but it seems that most of the Conant Ball desks were made with only one set of drawers with the exception of the very elaborate styles and most were very curvy.
I did find several end tables with this style legs but most had curved tops.

You can also ask for online appraisals which would only give you some ideas about it being authentic (only an onsite look will say for sure) but may offer valuable information.

Pghgirl40 is one of our experts when it comes to identifying furniture and styles. She has been dealing with this for a very long time. I have to agree with her because I tried to search for a desk or what she is calling a writing table and I can't find anything at all online that even comes remotely close to this item. It is a beautiful desk and yes it is made by Conant Ball. I am not sure where you are from because a lot of pricing deals with the area you live in unless you want to try and sell this online.
