I received a Crown porcelian doll from an estate, the doll is an old woman wearing country clothes, in a rocker with knitting needles, glasses, and long silver hair braided in a bun. On the back of the 1990 certificate from Crown, it's says purchased in the early 90s from the Builtmoore Estate. Any idea the name and value of the doll?

These dolls are mass-produced, and rarely worth more than $50.
An easy online search for "porcelain doll values" will produce many answers. Keep in mind that just because a doll may be fancy, old, inherited, etc., it most probably has little value as most are mass produced in the thousands and very often include a fake certification, the rather misleading term limited edition etc., in their names. A doll's condition is extremely important in considering value-the best doll prices are paid for dolls literally never removed from their boxes. You can find prices for some dolls on EBay and try online for further research. This site is a good place to start:
Crowne company mass produces dolls of all styles and generally most are not expensive new and rarely sell for very much at auction sites. Dolls are also difficult to ship as they break easily and insurance will not always pay because dolls may not have been properly packaged.
Many sellers who list dolls start at a high price and lower it over time as dolls are very slow sellers even at sometimes almost give away prices (even sell for 99 Cents) but most dolls like this sell for $10 - 20 dollars - when they sell.
Here is a doll like yours presently listed on eBay (6/2017) and the price is high. They may surprise everyone and sell it - who knows??
