Value of a Franklin Heirloom First Edition Dolly Madison Doll?

I have a Franklin Heirloom first edition Dolly Madison porcelain doll in the box with certificate. How much would this doll be worth?

These dolls are mass-produced and worth about $25.

So many dolls have been produced by numerous companies in all styles/sizes that not many have a very high resale value.

  • Franklin Heirloom dolls are pretty and actually very nice dolls but it seems that only really popular styles like Marilyn Monroe, Diana, Lucy and sometimes fancy Victorian, Southern Belle and bridal dolls sell for more than $50.

  • Unfortunately, Dolly Madison is not very popular and the only one I could find with a price was listed on eBay for $19.99 and it has been listed for several months without being sold.
  • If you are wanting to sell your doll, I would suggest you list her on your local Craigslist and list the starting price at $45-$50 and lower it if no one seems interested.
  • Show your doll to interested buyers in a public place so no one has to know your address.
  • Craigslist is easy to use (they have an easy tutorial) and is usually free to individuals.
  • If you decide to list you should have several good pictures and a good description of your doll.

Thank you for a response. I emailed Franklin heirloom and they said all the information on the doll has been locked in thier vault. Also said that the company made a second edition that was being sold on ebay and Amazon.

This sounds like your first edition might be worth more to a true collector so maybe you might think about keeping it for a while longer as it may become even more valuable in the future.
