I wish I could remember the year they originated. Maybe the 1980s...hard to remember, they made so many. When we sold these at the Hallmark store we told people to keep the boxes as that would allow the owner to date the piece and increase the value.
Most these days are sold without the box. Guess no one listened :(

There are so many of them listed on eBay for sale and I do not find the one you have posted here. The prices vary so much. They start as low as $20 and go all the way up to $150. You can try searching more here to see if one is posted later on that is the same as yours.
