I am not sure how to price this chest. I am also not sure if the cushion was added by previous owner. The only wear is on the front of chest.

This chest is worth from $150 to $200.

Your chest appears to be from 1971 (you read the serial number backwards and drop the last number). This looks like someone redid the top. They tops are usually either plain (not covered), covered with leather, or a heavy tapestry material.
The value depends on where you are and the kind of market you have for them. Where I am in Pittsburgh, they are considered "brown" furniture and you can't give them away. I have seen them sell as low as $25, if they sell.
In some cities they are still quite popular and you can fetch into the low $100s.
Your best bet is to call around to a few vintage stores and see how much you would pay (retail) for one in the resale market. Then that can tell you how to price yours.
