I am trying to figure out the value of a Lane cedar chest that was given to me about 7-8 years ago. The style no. is 2595-3 and serial no 157140. It is in great shape and has the original locking mechanism, but I keep it in a locked room for safety.

Currently these types of chests are selling between 200 to 400 dollars. You can start off listing it at the higher price and go down from there.
According to this website, the last cedar chests in the U.S. were manufactured in 2001. I can't tell if they continued to manufacture them overseas after this time but they no longer show them as a product on the Lane furniture website. It is likely that they stopped all production when they closed the plant.

I just bought one at a yard sale for 32 bucks, I think I stoled it for that price. It also came with the key to lock it.
