The value of the table depends on the area where you live. If you are looking to post this online they are selling around $150 to $195 and yours looks like it is in great condition. Just keep in mind you will need to add in shipping and handing cost if you decide to go this way. A lot of times it is best to post these on Craigslist in your local area to avoid shipping costs.

Mersman was a company that did not keep any type of records that show when their furniture was made and there are no available records of what any numbers mean so it is not usually possible to date their furniture unless someone has personal knowledge of the purchase date. That is the reason you will usually see 'mid-century' on listings as no date is available.

During the lifetime of the Mersman furniture company, it produced approximately 30 million tables - all sizes and many styles.

Quality of their pieces is usually consider excellent but some of their styles are outdated and no longer in demand.

As to value - to actually state a current value you would have to find an exact table that has been recently sold so you could state - that price is what someone is willing to pay.
This is usually the norm when doing research for value but with furniture that is not always the case as most pieces are sold as 'local pick up only' which means it was valued at the sold price but only in that city.

If you plan to sell your table I would suggest that you list it on some local venues like Facebook Marketplace, Letgo, Offerup, Craigslist so you can list it as 'pick up only' so there will be no shipping involved.

It will take several good pictures and a good description of your table but you can start your price high ($400 even) and just lower it if no one shows an interest.

So everything about your table is puzzling!! I love a good furniture mystery!!

Can you tell me anything about it and maybe add some better photos? How long have you had it? Where are you located? How tall is the piece? How long? How wide?

Is it a magazine coffee table? Is that a drawer under the top, by the bar? It is just not clear to me, sorry.

Does the metal bar have a function?

The other posters gave you some info about the company and their wonky numbering systems, so that I can't find anything by the number is no surprise to me--especially if it is truly a Mersman, but is an uncommon piece.

Besides the number puzzle (see above), the style and lines look nothing like any Merman piece I have ever seen.

Now obviously I have not seen every piece Mersman ever made...but I wonder if you have a "franken piece" where someone took a Merman piece and morphed it into a custom furniture piece of their own.

The body and those cantilevers on the side look like they could be from This End Up Furniture (they made super bulky furniture in the 1960s, I think, early 1970s--at least that is what I remember--which I hate relying on an old memory).

The metal bar on the side is something I have never seen Mersman do and the parquet top (at least it looks parquet in the one photo) is more like something Lane company produced, than Mersman.

Maybe with better photos (looking at it full one and then looking down on it) I may be able to see something else.

It is really hard to look at furniture just from odd angle photos.

Looking forward to offering more info once I can figure out what you have!!

Thanks for sharing!
