I recently acquired an antique coffee table that had belonged to my grandmother. It is in very good condition. Should I take off the plastic wrap (wrapped during recent move)?
How can I determine the value of the antique Mersman coffee table #7317 shown in photos I have attached?

Take off the wrap so the wood doesnt get damaged. This table is worth in the $225 range.
Mersman coffee tables values can up and down the scale according to the area where the table is located as these are very costly to ship so most sellers will state "local pick up only". This just means the table will be available to anyone in their area (not across the US).
Wood needs to breathe so definitely remove plastic. I can't find any recent matches that sold. There was one in 2006 that sold at a furniture auction for $30 and that was before the crash of 2008 where vintage and antique furniture really devalued. Sadly, I am not sure in most parts of the country, the value has increased that much :(
That said, check back to eBay and Google often and look for sold prices in today's market.
I never use asking prices to value, because people can ask what they want.
You can watch this one if it is identical...it doesn't give the number and I can't see details on yours to match...if it is identical, you can see what this one actually sells for and that will give you current market value.

I usually only use eBay to determine current market value, but I am not seeing any matches on there at the moment!
Selling pieces like this today is challenging because most young buyers want new and cheap. It is sad that these previous home stsples are becoming fire wood in many states. Pittsburgh still has a small market for them as many here like to furnish their old homes with period pieces! You can always get a feel by shopping antique stores in your town to see if there is a market and what they actually sell them for!
Good luck with your piece!
