I have a Mersman coffee table,. It is marked 8628, but I cannot find anything online about it. It is on casters and it adorned with round drop pulls on the skirt. Any idea how much it is worth? I don't want to touch it until I know.

A picture would help identify it. Large coffee tables have sold in the $200 range on eBay.
Hi! Do you have a photo? When I research Mersman's (one of my favorite things to look at), most folks don't sell by numbers because the company basically made them useless because they had so many incarnations!
I am sending a link of current sold Mersman coffee tables on eBay and you can see they are all over the place in values:

The only way I value items is to use eBay sold matching your item to the auction item exactly. Do not use a like item as some like items may have a different value than yours.
Condition matters in furniture so if you find a pristine one of yours that sold at a high price, you will need to take off your value because of condition--depending on how bad it is, you could lose up to 50% of the value.
Mersmans are not rare and make literally millions of pieces that have withstood the times and graced many a home!!
ONce you find an exact match and value, and you want to sell yours, you will be best off selling locally through Facebook marketplace, Nextdoor.com, the Pennysaver or newspaper classifieds or at a flea market. Selling these online is very challenging because of shipping.
Hope you find yours in this sold section! If not, keep checking back frequently. The market changes daily!
Mersman furniture is a favorite subject on ThriftyFun and there seems to be a never ending flow of styles and types but rarely (if ever?) is there a question about the same or exact piece or number.
Here is a link to questions and answers from past postings on ThriftyFun so you can maybe get an idea as to how we sometimes are able to help find a value.
