Your table may be called an end table and there are usually several listed on eBay. The asking price is not a good place to check value as a seller can ask any price they wish but that does not mean it will ever sell for that amount of money.
- Sold pieces on eBay are the only way to actually see what someone was willing to pay for any item.
- No Mersman end tables have been sold on eBay in the past several months.
- Large pieces of furniture can be difficult to sell and small sellers usually list these pieces as "pick up only" as they are too expensive to ship. This means that a piece would have to be sold to someone in your area so they would be within driving distance to pick it up.
- The fact that you have added new drawer pulls may actually reduce the value somewhat as people buying vintage furniture may want the original pulls. If the overall condition is good this may not be a problem.
- You can do research on eBay and look at what similar Mersman tables are selling for (if any sell) but the ones that are listed right now all seem to be a little more "classy" than your rather plain table. These are listed - not sold:
- If you decide to sell your table I would suggest you list it in your local Craigslist, IOffer, LetGo, 4Sale or any other local site. You can start your listing at whatever you desire ($75 or more) and just reduce the price is no one shows an interest.
- Furniture usually sells faster on these sites and many times pieces sell for more money than they would on a site like eBay.
