I was given this piece of furniture by a neighbor who was moving and it's quite lovely. I believe it's a century modern piece, but I could definitely be wrong. Any information about this I would appreciate!
Thank you.

These are worth about $45-$50.
This is definitely a mid century modern piece. You will often see like pieces referred to as MCM. These have lovely lines and were staples of most middle class homes in the 50s and 60s....frequently given as wedding gifts or first purchases by the newlyweds.
These pieces were mass produced so you will see these pretty often at the fleas and tag sales. They are priced all over the place and sadly most that are priced too high for the area are carted back home by the vendor.
This particular one is usually called a Step Side Table (because it looks like two steps). People frequently put the lamp on the top shelf and tchotchkes on the lower shelf.
This model has a little different side than most I have seen, but with value it is all about supply and demand. Since there was a large supply, unless the demand is high, the value won't be huge.
If you are out and about and see a big flea market, stop in and see what they are selling for in your area to help give you a better idea of value.
Also, if you use Ebay as a guide, look at SOLD auctions only, not what people are asking (the button is on the left to select sold) and look to see if they are local pick up only...where they are selling...demand in some places is often higher than other which dictates pricing.
