Has anyone ever seen or heard of this type of record player before? I've searched Google, but nothing comes up. I'm not sure where to look to see if I've found something valuable or if it's just another piece for a garage sale. Thanks in advance for any help.

It must be a company long gone. I cant find it either
Since there is no information online about this manufacturer, it is probably not worth a lot of money but no news can also be good news. It is obviously over 50 years old so there might be a collector out there that would be interested.
I would probably contact a store or website that specializes in audio collectibles and see if they can give you a quote. The fact that it has the box is important, as is the good condition of the player. I bet it still works too. Someone might want a vintage piece to finish their swanky mid-century modern room.
One other thought about finding this company would be through reference books at the library. There is a ton of information that has never been posted online and many older sites have gone out of existence. I remember books of products from certain decades. In fact, your question will probably be found by future people looking for information on a Mikesco record player.
Do let us know if you find anything out.
So I just got off the phone with my resident expert (it is nice to know people who love these things) and he has not heard of it, which I find so curious when he doesn't know things since he knows almost everything related to old turntables.
He said based on the name, it is probably a very short lived Japanese brand or Korean or Chinese brand. Whether it has value or not, would need much more digging and is contingent on bunch of factors, including condition and if it works just for starters.
He suggested contacting a vintage store in Tokyo (to start) and see if they can give you more info. This is a contact for one of the stores:
Dskattodiskunion.Co.Jp (email address) he is not positive they are still in business, but said to give it a try. If not, he suggested Google Vintage + Audio + Tokyo and see who is still around.
Post back what you learn!! So curious about this one!!!
I hope it is worth bunches!!
Well you have the only other one of these I've ever seen, yet our models have slight differenews visually.
I bought mine in small town rural Alberta Canada
