My mom had this bowl for years. I'm wondering what it's worth. It's about 12 inches diameter.
Thanks.

If you have a pattern number for the bowl, you can check Replacements, Ltd for pricing. They have an extensive number of Noritake pieces listed online. Without a pattern number, your search could take a while.
In order to really determine the value of this bowl the back stamp on the bowl needs to be identified first. Then we need to find the pattern number. I have found a website that will tell you about the history and how to find all the information you need to help us out.
Send pictures and info to replacementsltd.com they can help!
Hello. I believe this is your piece.

It has a number, not a name (at least one that Replacements.com gives it).
If you find out why they do this, let me know--it makes me crazy--someone told me they give numbers to patterns where no one remembers the name, but I don't know if that is true).
As to what it is lemon, fruit, or bon bon dish.
Value will be what someone will pay for it. Right now these super fancy dishes are not popular, so you will have to find the right person who wants it for their collection.
I could not find an example of one sold in a very long time so I can't quote what people are paying. There are tons of similar unsold pieces from $5 to $50.
My best guidance would be to start it in the middle somewhere and take best offer. This is going to have to be packed very, very carefully (lots of bubble wrap and double box) since it is so fragile.
Post back how your sale goes!
Thank you very much! Yes that is the bowl. I don't think I'll sell it, it was my mom's and we were cleaning out the house. It's in excellent condition and since it's not really worth much the sentimental value is more. Thanks again!
Life is short so enjoy your piece!! I am of the mind that lovely items should be used in every day life if they bring you joy!! That it is sentimental is even better!!
Pghgirl has given excellent information and the only thing I might add is that this type of dish was mostly popular when living rooms were called 'parlors' and they are not one of the highly collectable items so it just leaves an occasional person who might see a listing and want to own something like this.
Such a shame because they are very pretty - just not something very many people have room for anymore.
The most popular name for this size/type dish is still a 'bon bon' dish so just try to remember when you last heard anyone use that name. Most would not know what a bon bon was or is.
You will find a lot of listings on eBay, Etsy and other sites listed under Noritake Bon Bon bowl or even candy dish and as usual the prices will be all over the place but only a sold item can give you a current value and there are very few sold items.
You might be more successful if you listed it on a local venue and maybe even list it with local pick up available. This way you can start your price higher and lower it if no one shows an interest.
You can send a message to Replacements and see if they are interested in buying but be aware; they may only offer a few dollars and you still have to pack and pay for shipping but if they give you a price, you'll know for sure what the value is at the present time.
