You need to know who manufactured it. Undress the doll and look for markings

Once we know who made her, valuing dolls is kind of a challenge because they are only worth what someone will pay for them at the moment (current market value) and the supply lately is very high and the demand is low, which drives the values (prices) down.

My recommendation when people are trying to value their dolls is to find the EXACT doll on eBay or another site look for prices.

The challenge is DO NOT look at asking prices, this only tells you what someone thinks they are worth (I can list something and ask for a million dollars, but if no one will pay that the item is essentially valueless). You need to look at SOLD prices--which is what someone actually pays.

The bug-a-boo with method, is when a seller accepts best offer (like on eBay) all this tells you is the person paid as little as 1 cent up through 1 cent under asking price--most sellers are not willing to disclosure what the buyer actually paid and all eBay tells you is best offer was accepted.

In that case, I usually start an item at 10% less than the ASKED price and tell people I consider reasonable offers.

Let us know what you find! She is sweet!

Native American dolls are popular but most do not have a high value. Yours is really cute and appears to be in very authentic dress and facial features are very good (although pictures are too dark to really get a good focus) so it is possible this doll could bring $50 or more if auctioned properly.

  • Most of these dolls do not have any markings because they are mass produced and sold to many different stores all over the world.
  • You should try to remove clothing enough to see if there are any markings on her back or neck as that would be a big help in identifying her.
  • With just these pictures we can only do the same as you - search the Internet/eBay/Etsy/Google for any same or similar dolls.
  • You can narrow your search to native American dolls but this is what you will find:
  • Dolls in the thousands will show up with just minor adjustments to the title. You can do your own search through these files and maybe find something similar.
  • I found one listing that favors your doll but it has ended and I'm not sure it will appear for very long (eBay tends to show another doll in its place that is still for sale) but here is the link to check:

  • I would suggest you either try to get an appraisal or post her pictures on one of the doll forums.
  • Here is a link to a good doll forum but you should lighten your pictures or take more as the features are not clear enough and also give size (how long) and any other information you may have (in what city/country did you receive the doll) (how long ago) (was it in a box).
  • These forums have very knowledgeable doll people answering questions so you might find some answers.

  • Hope you can find information about this really neat baby doll.
