I have this Santa trinket box made by Cardinal Inc., in China. I would like to see what it's worth.
This is a newer piece from a prolific maker sold at many places, like Kirkland's and Amazon
At best you may fetch 10-15 dollars.
Post back with an update.
You may never be able to find an exact piece like yours but that is not unusual even if they make thousands in the beginning.
Things like this are discarded by family members (younger crowd does not care much for 'knick·knacks"), many are broken but mostly these just lay around someone's house because there are not that many sellers among the middle to senior ages.
If you wish to sell this item, I would suggest you post it on several sites with a starting price of $35-$40 and see how it goes. Now is the time to list this type of item.
If you want it to sell, you will need lost of pictures and a very good description.
Your Santa is a newer piece but some of these are still collectible.
The problem with placing value is the difficulty in finding any listings.
The only way to find any of this brand is to do research with asterisks around the name:
"Cardinal Inc" and even then you will have lots of 'birds' to sort through.
Here are links to some items listed for sale but I could not find any sold items so who knows what value this might have at Christmas.
With excellent pictures and good description it may sell for $20-$25 (Posted now and up to Christmas).
Teapots from several years ago seems to be the favorites.
I think Cardinal Inc is in New Jersey and this is their phone number:
732) 636-6160. You could call and ask them to date the piece for you. They have been around since 1998 or 1999.....so your piece may be one of their earlier pieces and that is why it is not easy to locate one.
Post back what you learn.
