On eBay there is a very large selection of these dolls. The dolls sell between 30 to 200 dollars. Keep in mind this is the asking price of the doll and not what they sell for.
Many of these dolls sit on eBay for long periods of time. Nobody is interested in them. Therefore, many people cancel their listing on the site.
Your best option is to wait until the holidays and see if you can sell it then. More people will buy these types of items the closer it gets to the holidays.
Jody Seymour doll. On E-bay, they are listed for about twenty dollars.
It seems anywhere between $20 and $100
Some Seymour Mann dolls are rather expensive when purchased but lose their value as soon as you walk out of the store. All of their dolls are mass produced which means they are very plentiful and brings the value to a very low figure.
Step 1
Any collectible and especially a doll, is only worth what someone will pay for it. To determine that, you need an active marketplace. The largest marketplace for dolls is eBay. You can watch for your doll on eBay completed sales for a couple of months, so you can see if they are really selling for the asking price or if they are selling at all.
Step 2
Listed or asking prices do not mean very much -- its actual sale prices that count. If you look at older listings just be aware that things change over time, value go up and down.
Step 3
Seymour Mann makes several different "collections" and they may have a "Jody" in every collection so without more information or a photo it is difficult to even pinpoint your doll.
Step 4
These dolls come in all sizes but as a general rule the 20" dolls, especially bride, Victorian and Diana dolls sell for more money.
Step 5
Another consideration is whether the doll is new, in a box, has all paperwork & COA or if it is in used condition will sometimes bring the value up or down.
Step 6
Some of these dolls sell for only $.99 (dolls in boxes with papers) so the value is not easy to calculate. Sometimes with sellers on auction sites it is just a wait and see game and may keep a doll listed for months and months.
