Could anyone please help me identify this chair and determine its value if possible? It's been in my family for years, I obtained it when my gran passed away. There is no maker mark at all.

Looking at this chair I want to say it used to be a desk chair that had an issue and a person took it apart and used the frame to create this new chair. They have made the cushions to put on the chair and also put the arm pieces on this chair. I really don't believe this is an antique chair of any kind and it is not easy to establish who has made this chair. If you want to sell this chair I would sell this locally.

Now that we have knowledge of the brand and name it should be much easier to find a current value.
I hope the covering can be cleaned but perhaps it should be done professionally if top value is to be had.
I found a couple of examples of this chair - different type of upholstery - one for sale with footstool (UK).
www.pamono.com/
Also similar with footstool sold (2016 - UK) for $3,068
Just showing these because they have great information that can partially be used if chair is listed for sale.
This one is listed for sale - restored leather - great information.
Apparently these chairs are more popular in the UK as information is scarce in the US. Shipping will be high.
But, since these are 'rare' in the US, if someone really likes something, and, has the finances to support it, they will pay a higher amount for the item and pay high shipping cost.
If I had this chair my first move would be to find someone in a high-end upholstery shop and have all of the upholstery cleaned so that it would look fresh and inviting.
Starting price could be set high -$3,000 (or best offer) - and leave it sit for a few weeks but if no one inquires or no offers, lower the price and go from there.
These are just suggestions that might help sell chair for a good price.
Some people may be having financial problems right now but there is still a large portion of the public that are well set and can buy whatever they desire.
This maybe best answered by furniture dealer/appraiser professionals .You could take your same pictures to the professionals for a more authentic answer and history of the piece. This would be the way to go , sense you do not have any info to go on , for a search.
This is a strange mixture and probably not 'original' but I have no clue as to what the value would be.
Guessing - maybe $35-50 but probably only if someone sees it, sits in it - and likes it.
I would suggest you post your pictures and question on these sites and you'll receive some answers for sure. You'll have to join before posting.
Let us know what you learn as we're all curious.
Thanks for sharing this fab piece!! Does it recline? Just spin? Both?
It looks like a Hermes chair had a baby with a Plycraft, Morris and Wegner.
It may have originally been leather or vinyl... it is possible it is all original, but the fabric is hard to get a bead on the material and condition and how it is affixed.
Are there any marks on the base? Can you tell how the upolstery is affixed? Glue? Nails? What is it stuffed with?
Are the casters marked? It is a true mid century piece, in my opinion based on the wood, shape, and amazing base, and with more information, I may be able to figure out more.
Also, where are you located and is the chair from there or was your family member from elsewhere? This piece has a Danish/ German vibe.
Looking forward to learning more! Hopefully we can solve the mystery! Thanks!!

Worth approx 800-1000 as is, up to 3500 fully restored
Thank you so much for answering this question.
This appears to be a great chair and valuable!
How nice..
I am so excited to have the name on this chair! Was it placed somewhere on the chair? Where are you located?
It was making me crazy--as a long time reseller and huge fan of cool furniture--to not be able to crawl into the photo and lay my hands on the piece to get more info so I could ID, learn more about it and value it.
This piece is, as I said in my original message, is FAB!! It is like the if the brands I mentioned had a baby because they were all influenced by one an other! I love it that in everything I read about the brand the one word they use is fabulous!! It is!
I also was reading there are some issues with the fabric not being compliant with UK fire safety protocols--this article has some info.
If you are in the UK, and your piece is all original, you may want to have it professionally restored if you are going to keep it so it is safe.
If you are going to sell, you will need to disclose if it is all original so someone else can decide next steps and that will lower the selling value.
You gave some numbers with your answer. Were these from a professional in your area? All furniture values are regional so be sure to do some asking around to verify the amounts you think the chair is worth are appropriate for your area.
What an extraordinary piece! Thank you so much for sharing and the follow up!
Hi
I am in the uk and i have had a couple appraisals done.
You are right about the fabric and the foam, it was constructed before the fire regulations in the uk and now does not comply. I will make sure i add this to any adverts i place.
I am currently having the chrome cleaned and the wood treated to enhance the value, i an planning on listing it in the uk but would welcome a US contact.
With the recent covid lockdown and the fact that i have been made redundant, i hope to get a much as i possibly can.
Thanks again for your reply
