This was my grandpa's record player/stereo. We no longer have room for it, but I'd like to know what (if anything) it might be worth. It's in good condition, and works fine!

What is the Brand Name? Could you download a full view of the console? I'd start with keying in search bar, "console record players" and then look at all the photos and hopefully be able to ID yours with a price attached. Of course a collector would know a value to provide compared to someone who just wants to sell one in a yard sale for example. I did look at a few that ranges from over a thousand dollars to a few hundred, so it all depends on condition, age, and possibly brand and what another feels it's worth which could be overpriced amount.
Can you please post photos of the face of the console? There should also be a brand name, make and model. A photo of that will help also.
Thanks for more info/photos. That helps.
So I never heard of Phoenix Audio, but when I did a little digging it appears to be a very well know brand that is highly sought after by some vintage stereo enthusiasts.
If it works perfectly as you state, you may have something of value for selling.
Since I can't see or touch the device and there is a whole lot of variables that vintage stereo collectors look for when buying these, my best suggestion is to take it to a store that specializes in this kind of resale and see either if they will buy it from you outright or will sell it on consignment for you.
Maybe there are others, but I found this one through Google: houseofstereo.com/
If you get it to the store and they say it is not working up to a collector's standards (please know a users standards and a collector's standards are two different things and they are looking for things like original parts, sound quality, and a bunch of other things that a regular user has no clue about), there is still a market for the pieces for parts--you would just have to get them out of the wooden cabinet and they do sell on eBay and other private auction sites.
The wooden console will be the challenge for you, because it is the equipment people want, not the cabinet (although some flea market flip artists will want the cabinet for free or next to no money so they can make it into something else and resell it.
Please post back what you learn from the experts and how much you fetch for it. Please also know that if someone is going to sell it for you, they will give you 1/4 to 1/2 of retail (so you make money and they make money). But the good part about that is once you get your money, you are done and they handle the messy part of selling!!
Best wishes! Thanks again for the additional info!
It depends what brand it is. I have seen similar looking ones on eBay asking $150 to $225.
Knowing the brand name will help to determine the real value of the item. I have seen some items similar to this one on eBay and people ask $100 to $300 for the items. Just keep in mind selling online will be more difficult than selling in your area.
