Can anyone help to appraise this antique china cabinet or at least tell me what the symbol is on the cabinet?
Thanks so much.

I would take these pictures to an antique dealer. You should be able to get a free verbal appraisal.
When I was a kid we called the embellishment a Genie Lantern (Arabian style) and would rub them hoping for the three wishes. Technically the embellishment is more shaped like incense burner with the two loops. I have been searching Google to find the official name of it and am coming up empty, which is unusual.
Have you tried a Google Image search?
I love Google images!! It has made my life so much easier! What did we do without this second brain :)
I guess we used dictionaries and encyclopedia...but they were so outdated and clunky.
Me again...this one has really been puzzling to me...I think the official name of the decoration, like what it was modeled after, is a jardiniere (see the link). It is typically thought of as an Art Nouveau decoration/piece.

There is an Art Nouveau wiki which may be helpful:

This piece is so pretty!! I hope it has value for you!
