Thank you so much for your help
The Old Lawn Mower Club has a forum where they can answer this question.www.oldlawnmowerclub.co.uk/
I havent been able to find this exact mower, but Ive found similar Briggs & Stratton on EBay. It looks like they can go anywhere from $80-$275 give or take. Location is probably a big factor in the price tag. I would keep an eye out on Ebay and also contact a local auctioneer. They could give you a better idea of what it could sell for in your area.
Good luck!
Older mowers like this normally sell for around $75-200 depending on the condition of the mower. Online they have a forum for antique mowers that many people visit and check out the deals and how to refurbish their mower. If you are a mower buff and want to work on this to increase the value of the mower I'd check out some of these forums online. They are very helpful.
There are so many questions that affect value and without having all the answers, I could not even guesstimate the value of your neat piece. To do so could either give you false hope of a big sale, or a sad face with a low number.
The variables are things like:
Does it work?
Do you know the approximate year?
Does it have all of the original parts or are there after market repairs made?
Do you have the manual?
Are you in a high supply/low demand or a low supply/high demand area?
Answers to each question will affect the value.
What I can tell you is in most cases (not all, but most) the worth of these vintage mowers is not as a whole, but for the parts. For example, some of those Briggs engines like this one has can sell for (SOLD prices, not asking) up to $100 if they are tested and working.
People that love old mowers want to keep the ones they have going and they want genuine parts for them. That is always an option for you if you are considering selling this one is to test all parts, and take apart and sell by pieces.
The nice thing about selling that way, is the pieces are usually pretty easy to ship, where the whole mower, would be a nightmare to ship and would most likely need to be a local pick up, which if you are in a high supply, low demand area, may sit for years before selling!
Post back what you decide!
