We have a marble top table with what appears to be cherry wood (may just be stain color). It has very intricate details carved in the wood. I am curious what kind of value this may hold.

Look under the table for identifying marks. This could be a knockoff, and not the real thing.
This looks like a Regency style wine or side table. It is attractive. Without more info it is hard to tell if it is a older piece or a repro. Both may have value depending on where you are located.
Best way to deal with a piece like this is have a dealer look at it (you can ask to have them help you value it for insurance -- which will be higher than retail but will give you an idea of what you could sell it for if that is your goal).
If it is worth what it could be if it if it was an older piece, you would be best to have the dealer sell it for you as most people don't want to pay a person much for a piece, but they will pay a store.
Post back what you learn! It is a lovely piece!! I hope it is a true vintage piece.
I know for a fact it is vintage, as it belonged to my Mother's Grandmother, then went my Grandmother, and passed to my Mother after her Mom's passing. My Mother is 84, so no doubt as to it being antique.
That is wonderful that you know the history! That will add to the pieces' provenance and hopefully the dollar amount it will fetch for you.
Wishing your mom many, many, many more healthy years to enjoy it!! That is what these pieces are about...being enjoyed and having the memories to share over them.
Blessings to you all!! Thanks for posting back!
