Is that metal inside the area where there is a cabinet door? I can't quite tell how the metal (if that is what it is) is affixed. Can you tell what kind of metal it is--does a magnet stick to it? Is it rusted or just discolored?
Does it appear it would hold water? Meaning that this section would be used as an ice box?
Would a bottle (like wine or whiskey) fit in the two holders?
This piece has me quite fascinated. I need to figure out what it is first and then help you figure out value.
How tall is it? The connections to look old (the dovetails). It may be a hand made, one of a kind custom piece someone built for the antique equivalent of a man cave.
Does the drawer open? Is there anything marked on the underside of the drawer or inside the drawer?
This is so cool. I hope to learn more so we can figure out what you have and the value.
I know this is from Aug 2020, so I am not sure if the original poster will see this or not. I have no clue why I went down the path I was going down when I first saw this post.
This is a humidor for cigars and the two holes are for ashtrays. In some markets these are still quite collectible, especially if it has the original ashtrays. Sadly those are frequently long gone!
Without knowing who has made the table makes it very hard to research and give an accurate date and value of this table. In cases like this, it is best to seek the help of an antique dealer in your area that can examine the table. They can help you to date this table and to also tell you the approximate value of this table. Only photos and ones that don't dhow who has made the table it makes it hard for any of us to do much research on this table.
This looks like a vintage Butlers Table/ serving table. To get the history and maker of this piece , take photos to a antique dealer/appraiser for the right answers.
Unusual table.
You really need several more pictures - it's okay to show close-ups but when showing the insides etc you need to have the complete table showing as you cannot see how everything 'fits' when just a snip of table is shown. Also pictures of underside of table, bottom of drawer showing how it's put together, back and sides of table as well as measurements.
With these pictures you can post it on this site and most likely you will receive some information. Also post area located and any history that you know concerning this table.
