There are thousands of Elvis fans out there and I am sure there is a market for them. Your best bet is eBay or Craigslist , go on line and enter a search for Elvis dolls , find out if there is one like yours for sale and the price that customer's are willing to pay.

Ashton Drake dolls are usually worth $25 or less. However, there are a lot of Elvis fans. Check eBay regularly and see what they are selling for.

I think you can get more than $25, but not sure how much more.

I believe this is the Aloha from Hawaii doll and may be realistically valued at $95-$125 but how long it would take to sell is something entirely different.

  • Twenty years ago I sold this same style doll for $600 so you can see the interest/value has dropped considerably.
  • Here are some dolls currently listed for sale on eBay. You can place a watch on these dolls to see if they sell. Remember; asking prices are not true value and are only what a seller would like to receive for their doll.

  • You can always check the sold listings on eBay which would give you a fair idea of value but there is currently one sold statue and that was sold in the UK.

  • This is a very nice display figure but selling and shipping can be very stressful as these dolls are very difficult and expensive to ship.
  • If you are interested in selling your doll then I would suggest listing him on some of your local sites like Craigslist, Offerup.com, Varagesale.com (local), Wanelo.com, http://www.decluttr.com, Ioffer.com. and letgo.com (local).
  • Also, if you list on one of these sites you should start your price at about $300 and lower it if no one shows an interest (wait several weeks). You can ask a higher price because there is no shipping involved.

  • Whether your doll will sell for a higher price will have a lot to do with where you live and what type of people live in your area. Some areas may be more into collecting or even more sold on Elvis so only by trial and error can you find out for sure.

If this is an exact match to yours (outfit, box, COA) then your market value today is 117.15 (plus the shipping cost which rounds it up to around $130 (please see the link for an exact match);

You can watch eBay and see if people get more or less and then average out the price. I only use what someone actually has paid for an item as today's market value. You can list it for anything you want, but if someone won't pay it, it becomes valueless.

If you are going to sell him on eBay remember your profit will be much less after eBay and Paypal feels. Buyer usually pays shipping so be sure to wrap him and weigh him and put box size in eBay calculator so you don't get cheated on postage.

If you sell on Facebook, Nextdoor etc. you will get less (people always pay less on these sites in my experience. It is RARE (and I have been doing this for a while) that you get exactly what you want when you sell in a person to person venue like these or newspaper classifieds or a flea market.

A consignment store may do it for you, but then you they get a percentage, but you don't have the hassle of shipping--which with the breakable dolls is a super pain because the USPS is rough sometimes. I have had many an item (VERY WELL PACKAGED) literally smushed into smithereens.
