It is over 100 years old, an antique. If it is complete, it has value. Take it to some antique book dealers for free verbal appraisals.
I'm sorry but I cannot find any record of this encyclopedia in any of the George M. Hill Company records so could you please add some pictures to your question?
The George M. Hill Company only remained in business for three years. In February 1902 the company was forced into receivership.
Best to post pictures of front, title page and any other page that has ID information.

Can you please clarify, is this a dictionary with multiple books or a dictionary (one book)?
Pictures would help (outside cover, back cover, spine, and the page with the details of the title copyright etc.
