Value of an Old Webster's Dictionary?

The title page of an old Webster's dictionary.I am curious about this dictionary. I've had it for about 10 years now, I can not find it anywhere on the web. I was wondering about its value? I find it odd that I cannot seem to find anything even close or similar to it. Any direction to its possible value would be appreciated!

Your book looks to be in pretty good condition (except for the hand written name) but not really sure it is a 'first edition'.
There are several of these dictionaries listed for sale but all are from later years - 1941-1946 - mostly 1943.
I did not find any books from the 1940 edition and all of the listed books have very plain covers but many seem to be in very good condition.
Here are a few examples that you might want to watch to see if they sell.

Your book covers looks kinda special so it may be worth more than some listed for sale and it may actually sell.
You might try listing it on some sites - maybe eBay and several others - Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, offerup, letgo, etc.

You could start your price high and lower it is no one shows an interest.
The type of dictionary itself is not rare or unusual and many are listed for sale but not the 1940 edition so hopefully you will find a buyer.
Be sure to show several good pictures of true condition and someone may be interested because of the cover or?

The 1940 edition is not listed for sale recently or even in the past. Most of the books listed deal with the 1943 version of the book. Therefore, you may get lucky to sell the book because nobody has listed this book for sale. Just keep in mind the condition of the book plays a major part in selling the book.

Most collectors normally invest in books that are 100+ years old. You can start off by asking around $35-40 for the book and lower your price if anyone is interested in buying it from you.

Because this book is under 100 years old, it will not bring in much. This book is offered online for $10 to $35 , and there are no takers for them.
