I have the 1955 Chicago Standard Education Society Encyclopedia set. What is its value?

Some encyclopedia sets still sell for good money: it all depends on the brand, age/edition, condition, full set, type of binding and sometimes location (if sold as pick up only).
This particular set does not seem to be very popular but you may still be able to sell it for $50-$60 plus shipping (media mail).
I did not see a 1955 edition but there is a 1953 edition listed on eBay for $94.99 with free shipping so you might place a watch on this one to see if it sells. If it sells you would have a favorable idea of the current value of your set as I cannot find any significant difference in the sets.

I did find one seller that has the 1955 books for sale and I see that they have theirs listed by individual book ($6 plus shipping) and one has sold but this is a hard way to make money as they may not sell another book anytime soon.
You might want to try listing the set on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace or another site and list them as 'pick up only' so no shipping required.
This way you can start your price higher and lower it if necessary.
Most encyclopedia sets are not worth much at all but it is still possible that they can be sold. The real value in books like this is when they reach 100+ years old. Then they are more valuable. I would list these locally to see if anyone in your area is interested in getting the set.
(Spray can) fabric glue before and after use of gel pen then use wax paper and set into fabric with the iron. Using wax paper to keep the ink and glue from sticking to the iron.
