My husband is an auctioneer and we often see these books at auctions. Right now, the book is bacisally not worth anything. In a few hundred years, if it is in great condition, it will be worth something. Modern printing enabled books to be mass produced, thus cutting down on the value as their are many still on the market.

Reference books that have value are usually 100 years old or more. This book is not one of them.

It is a shame that everything in your books is currently available online. Therefore, nobody is willing to purchase books with outdated information in them. If the books were from the 1800's to very early 1900's they would have some value for collectors.
As it stand right now you might be able to earn $25 locally selling your book. It is not worth it to list them online, because the shipping cost is too expensive.

It is odd but it seems that older dictionaries usually sell better than encyclopedias even if sold at very prices.
- If your book is in good to very good condition you may be able to sell it for $20-$65 (some have sold for more).
- The reason these older dictionaries are still selling is because they have a large number of drawings, illustrations, and maps that are of particular interest.
- There are currently about 150 Webster dictionaries (different years) listed on eBay and the asking prices are all over the map.
- Asking prices do not mean that is the current value - only sold items showing prices paid show what someone will pay (and that is the truer value).
- Some sellers keep books listed for months and months and some never sell (or sellers may reduce their asking prices).
- Here is the current listings on eBay (many different years).

- Here are some other sites that sell a lot of books so you can return and check their listings at a later date.

- You can list your book for sale on any of these sites and start with a higher price and reduce it if it does not sell.
- Some people prefer using their local Craigslist so you might want to check that out also.
Here is one 1943 dictionary so you can look at the publishing page to see if your page looks the same.
