I have found that Vaseline works better than anything on my cuticles. My cuticles get all dried out in the heat of our house and I keep the house very warm. I put it on my cuticles at night and rub in very well. It does a good job for me, my hands are always in water all day as well. ;)

I use petroleum jelly to rub on my feet at night and wear socks to bed to insure smooth feet. It aids in the smoothing out dryness on my heels which cracker during winter months.
I have dry feet too and after I file down my heels I do that too. Vaseline is awesome!
Have a Merry Christmas!
Vaseline does not moisturize your cuticles. It keeps them soft by placing a barrier between your cuticles and the dry atmosphere. This barrier prevents the cuticle's natural moisture from being drawn out into the atmosphere. You are smart to use this cheap and effective treatment.
Now, I have a suggestion for you. You should apply this Vaseline to your cuticles throughout the day, particularly after washing your hands. I know this is not always practical. Solution: Buy a cheap stick of lip balm, the harder, the better. You can carry this with you at all times. Most lip balms have wax added. This will increase its effectiveness.
Thank you so much for the wonderful and effective suggestions!
Have a great day!
Whenever I put on lip balm, I also rub it on my cuticles to keep them soft. It works!
Hi Jess,
That is an awesome idea, and I love the convenience of the lip balms. I have also read about people using lip balm to set their eyebrows...
