Gold Post Medal for All Time! 677 Posts If you like a combination of vegetables, or just have small amounts of various vegetables to use up, this is for you. You can vary the vegetables according to the season and what is on sale.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 12 minutes
Total Time: 22 minutes
Yield: 6-8 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 cup thinly sliced onions
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 cups diagonally cut carrots
- 4 cups broccoli, stems thinly sliced, flowers 1-inch long
- 1 tsp basil
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup water
Steps:
- Sauté the onion in butter until transparent.
- Add the carrots and sauté 5 minutes.
- Add the broccoli stem pieces and sauté 2 minutes more.
- Add the florets, basil, garlic powder, salt, pepper and water.
- Cover and let simmer 3-5 minutes.
