There aren't very many ways to keep this from happening because they are kind of slippery for whatever reason.You could try safety pinning them to your sheet from the top and under the comforter or to the comforter from the bottom side since your sheet will be between you and the blanket.
My mum safety pins hers at the corners that are far from the body.
I would use velcro to attach onto the sheet this will hold it in place.
Can you clip the blanket to another blanket, or tuck blanket in?
Put the blanket on top of the comforter
I would suggest pinning it with small safety pins several places along the edge of the comforter.
