  1. Cut the yam in half. Using a spoon, scrape the yam flesh into a bowl. Repeat for all yams.

  7. Over medium high heat, add olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté garlic until brown.

  11. When the water boils, slowly add scoop some shrimp into the water to make the shrimp ball/pellet. This will take less than 5 minutes to cook.
