My great view out of my kitchen window is being replaced by the side of a house. Any suggestions for bringing back nature in my view?

If there's enough room, plant a small tree or two, such as a serviceberry, that will provide food for birds (and thus, entertainment to you). Then also set out a finch feeder on a pole.
You don't have to wait 'til spring to plant a tree, by the way. If you plant now, it will flower in spring, and bring fruit for birds in summer.
How about planting a trellis and vining plants? It will take a bit but the plants will grow along the trellis to give you privacy and nature.
