My Viking 6030 is stuck in reverse mode. I have removed the presser foot plate and cleaned, but it made no difference. What do I need to do? Does the machine need to be oiled? If so, how do I oil it? What kind of oil do I use? The manual gives no mention of oil.

To oil the machine you need special sewing machine oil, which you can get online or anywhere sewing supplies are sold. Take off the top and endcap of the machine. Move the wheel so you can see the parts moving.

Have you tried unplugging it and leaving it for a day unplugged, and the plugging it back in again? This works sometimes.
