Making these for Christmas for each of my five children using vintage "1960s" pictures of my husband's family and my family.
These make nice keepsake ornaments. It would be good for grandkids too.
Total Time: two hours
Yield: 1
Supplies:
- wood circle cutouts
- piece of cording
- trim
- two pictures
- mod podge or Elmer's glue all
- scissors
- paint brush
- tacky glue for trim
Steps:
- Print two pictures, one for back and one for front. I cut them into circle shapes because the wood was circular.
- Mixing Elmer's glue all and water, I stirred to make a paste consistency, not too thick and not too runny. Then, I painted three coats of glue on each side of the circle, one picture on one side and one picture on the other. I let is dry about 45 minutes between coats.
- Using tacky glue, I glued trim around the edges and let dry.
- When dry, drill a hole at the top and add a cording for hanging.
