I bought this item, with no knowledge of what, where, or when this originated. it is a very vintage shadow box with Jesus and different meaningful symbols. If you know about this piece, I'll be simply amazed! It's almost kinda scary, but super cool in the same sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Without identifying markings it will get difficult to assess value. You could take it to a dealer.
It is a neat piece! Shadow boxes (of all kinds) including religious themes, date back to Victorian times and before.
Your piece does look old at first glance, but I know that some new artists go to extensive pains to make their art look old (we have an artist in the family who does just that).
There are lots of things that an art expert can look at and help you get a true date on your piece...
For example, is the background pixallated, is it paper, is it a photograph, is it fabric?
What are the gold color metal pieces? Are they pressed tin (could indicate an older piece or are they aluminium? Does a magnet stick to them? Magnets stick to things like iron/steel but do not stick to aluminum (aluminum may mean newer).
What about the cross? What is it made from?
The tan silky fabric around it looks to be in very good shape, which to me, does not go with the super old back of the piece. Fabrics tend to fray and dry rot as they age, and that these look so crisp does not go with the super old back of the piece.
If you have a decent art dealer in your town, I would take it to be checked out.
Some really old pieces like this still have value. Some newer pieces still have value if it is by a known artist.
Post back with an update! I would love to learn more as assemble art is one of my hobbies!
