I have a 1945 and 1948 Lane Cedar chest. Both insides are in near perfect shape, except a missing shelf in the 48. Outsides aren't in the greatest shape but I'm sure could be repaired. Was just wondering if anyone had a general idea on their worth.

If I want to find out what an item is worth I usually got to eBay. In your case Lane Cedar Chest. I was really surprised to find quite a few listed as they are really heavy. The larger ones were mostly "Local Pick-up" . If you want a general idea of the worth of your chest I would suggest to do a "search" and compare with the ones listed.
You have Lane Waterfall Cedar Chests, they have inlaid veneer alternating pattern offset by vertical bands with a scalloped style base.

It was made in March 22, 1948. These chests were made in huge numbers.

At a regular auction, the price will be even lower.
I think the price of your 1948 Lane Waterfall Cedar Hope Chest is about $100-150 (because missing shelf).
If the chest needs work, expect to get somewhere in the $150 range.
Try some Howard's Restor-a-Finish and/or some orange oil. The wood will come back to life.
