Who made this machine for Montgomery Ward and when? This my great grandmother's sewing machine that I recently inherited. I remember sewing with it when I was very young. Haven't been able to find information, just some pictures.
This particular Montgomery Ward sewing machine has an original patent date of Nov. 30, 1886. I found it in an online auction by the unique flowering detail on the arm.

I found a treadle sewing machine with the name Montgomery Ward and with the same patent date November 30, 1886 www.justanswer.com/
The owner of the sewing machine wrote that it has been in their family since 1902 or earlier.
Montgomery Ward was a catalog retailer and department store that operated between 1872 and 2001, so, Montgomery Ward did not make sewing machines and almost all Montgomery Ward sewing machines made before 1955 were made by the National Sewing Machine Company antiques.lovetoknow .com/
A table sounds interesting for the stand but what about the case?
