I purchased new kitchen cabinetry and, knowing I'm not very crafty with contact paper or non-skid cabinet liners, I purchased vinyl placemats from the Dollar Store to line my cabinets. They are easy to measure and cut to your exact specifications. These liners can be wiped with a damp cloth and will last a lifetime. I have also placed these liners in my bathroom vanity drawers and on my refrigerator shelves and drawers.

I found that using the inexpensive self-stick floor tiles work great too. They are easy to trim to fit most areas and have a wide range of patterns and colors. There is no curling or shifting once they are in place.
I just read your comment. It made me remember a stack of light beige floor tiles I have stored in an out building. They're not self stick though, and I had rather have white.
I checked Walmart for self adhesive white vinyl floor tiles. Found just what I wanted. Then I read this:
WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.
Makes one wonder how it could be sold legally in any state. i wonder how many moms gripe about products from China containing lead while they put their babies on a floor with this type tile on it.
Maybe Baxter's place mats are a better idea, unless you know for sure your tiles are safe.
