Ingredients:
- 2/3 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 beaten egg
- 2/3 cup milk with 1 teaspoon vinegar mixed in it.
- 2 Tbsp cooking oil
Steps:
- Sift dry ingredients together into large bowl.
- Combine egg, milk and cooking oil into smaller bowl, add to flour mixture. Bleand gently by roatating the spoon so you fold in the flour Do not beat! Mixture is suppose to be thin and lumpy. Let batter stand.
- Grease a griddle and heat it to medium. Stir batter one time and drop by tablespoons, 1 Tbsp. makes a 3 inch pancake. Cook maybe 2 minutes then flip for another 2. Check to make sure on your first try!
- If making these for a large family, double recipe. Preheat oven to 170 degrees C (325 degrees F) and warm a platter. When pancakes are done, flip on the warm platter in oven.
