It means that there is an issue with the water temperature sensor.

Depending on the machine, there are a number of YouTube videos to help you fix it yourself. I swear by YouTube as I recently used a video to take my 30 year old vacuum apart after getting something stuck in the motor.

In less than 1 hour, I had it fixed and the house clean. What did we do before YouTube!?! and Google and Thrifty Fun!! Good luck!!!
