Here's a tip for washing your hands at a campsite when there is no faucet. Hang a one gallon milk jug to a low sturdy limb and make a hole in the bottom and plug the hole with a golf tee or a cork. Then fill the jug with water. Wash hands by removing the plug. Hang a nylon with a bar of soap in it right next to the jug.
I almost thought I was reading an entry from my scout leader. this was her brainstorm!
Another great idea is to use the new empited laundry detergent canisters that have the spigot at the bottom. Undo the screw cap and fill with soapy water, then put the lid back on and use from the spigot. Or you can fill the container with water and put a bar of soap in a knee hi and tie to the spigot.
My Mother did this very same thing in 1960. She used an old bleach bottle and a peice of netting for the soap then tied on a string to the bleach bottle.
